For some mums, working out the best foods to eat while pregnant can be a minefield. During this time good nutrition is vital for healthy growth of the foetus, and is equally important to help mum get the most out of the food she is eating.

Tips to beating Food Cravings During Pregnancy

Healthy eating while pregnant doesn’t have to be difficult, but there are some especially good foods to eat during pregnancy, as well as some potential foods to avoid during pregnancy.

At the start of her career Charlotte worked for the NHS, which involved training and working in the area of maternal nutrition. Since then, scientific research has shown us that nutrition during this time influences the health of a baby before they are even born. We also know that the foods that mum eats during pregnancy can influence food preferences in young children. Therefore nutrition in pregnancy does so much more than simply provide nutrients for baby’s growth.

Charlotte has worked on many projects covering the topic of maternal nutrition, and delivers training and workshops to a variety of audiences on this subject. Some of her nutrition during pregnancy work has also involved working with a number of brands on NPD, writing materials for pregnant mothers and working with the media and TV talking about and answering questions on maternal nutrition.
