Last week I had a really busy and exciting week work wise and I thought I would share details of it and my brand communication and media nutrition projects with the readers of my blog.
Ongoing Brand Communication Work and NPD:
On Wednesday I worked with a long term client of mine, Arla, and attended a meeting to talk about New Product Development (NPD) and some exciting new products they have in the not too far future. I was also asked to deliver a presentation looking at the current diet of adults and children in the UK. I’ve given a few presentations on this topic since the last National Diet and Nutrition Survey came out and people are always surprised by how lacking we are in the UK, especially when it comes to vitamins and minerals.
Arla then took us on a tour of their factory in Aylesbury, where most of their milk is packed up and sent off to relevant places. As a farmer owned brand they get their milk directly from those who also own the company, which is always good to see!

The next day I was lucky enough to attend a Fitness Blogger Launch event hosted by Reebok. I was there alongside another client of mine, Whole Earth and I was there to simply deliver a mini cooking demonstration for an overnight oats recipe as well as talk about the importance of nutrition. I love overnight oats and so this was a simple and perfectly fitting task for me. After the event I spoke to some journalists about meal ideas, especially for people who are trying to get fit.
The whole Reebok event was in aid of Reebok launching a new pair of Crossfit trainers – Nano7s – the concept of which is all about making every nanosecond count when it comes to training and your fitness. There were around 250 people at the event and so you can imagine it was quite a rowdy crowd!
Katrín Davíðsdóttir who is currently the crossfit champion of the world (!!) was there to host the event and I was also lucky enough to have endurance athlete Sophie Radcliffe on the Whole Earth stand with me promoting Whole Earth’s new #FuelGood campaign.
Media Nutrition Role:
Finally, on Friday I took part in a photo shoot for a new brand that I will be working with as their Nutrition Ambassador. This will mean working with the brand directly as well as with their PR teams over the next year to host some PR events and provide plenty of comments to the media on how to life a healthy lifestyle. I can’t say much more about this work or the brand I’ll be working with until I get the OK from their PR team so hold fire and you’ll find out soon.
Lastly, if you missed it, I also wrote a fab blog (if I may say so myself ;-)) for Harper’s Bazaar last week all about why diets fail and how to keep your health goals on track, so have a read of that now!
If you would like to find out more about working with me, my previous brand work or any of my current work in the media, please do contact me here and I’ll be happy to answer any questions.
