This week I’m SO excited to announce that that I won a couple of awards as part of National Weaning Week 2020.
I love the work that I do and I’ve spend the last five years or so writing a blog twice a week and creating lots of content to help parents and families. I’ve also put a lot of time into my Instagram and even more recently created some live webinars for parents on different topics around child nutrition.
3 Category Nominations
As a result of this, I was nominated for 3 categories as part of the Weaning Week Awards:
- Best Blog
- Best Instagram Account
- Best Online Resource (for my Live Webinars)
I really didn’t expect to win any of the awards and was so, so excited to have even been nominated. The categories were tough but on Tuesday the winners were announced and it turns out I did pretty well!
The Results
I was super happy to have won first place for:
Best Blog and Best Online Resource, beating some SUPER tough competition to the post.
I also came second for Best Instagram Account, so was thrilled about this too.
Thank you Everyone
A MASSIVE shout out to all those who voted for me, it means so much. I love the work that I do but it’s wonderful to be able to have something to now officially show for it. I never win anything, so for me this really did matter and I’m thrilled to be able to say “Award Winning”, simply because it makes all the hard work I do in my role just that little bit more worth it. A HUGE thank you to everyone who voted for me, seriously.
Other Awards…?
Randomly, my wonderful colleague from The Allergy Dietitian – Penny Barnard – also voted for me in another award too. These don’t close until the end of June, so if you’re a student Dietitian/Nutritionist or a reader of CN magazines, it’d be wonderful if you can vote for me on this too. Thank you again everyone, I’ll share the badges with pride and hope to enter again next year – who knows where and what I’ll be doing then?
