Charlotte gave an excellent, interesting, informative, and very entertaining hour-long talk on nutrition, and explained how older people can help to remain healthy by eating a balanced diet containing essential vitamins and minerals. Charlotte then demonstrated how to quickly and easily make an inexpensive nutritional snack, which was then eaten and enjoyed by members.
Quite a number of questions were put to Charlotte, all of which she cheerfully and easily answered. Healthy eating need not be boring was very much the theme of Charlotte’s talk, and at the end of the session we were considerably enlightened as to what our diets should include for us to stay healthy.
After the talk, members expressed the hope that Charlotte would return at a future date and give us a further talk on easy-to-do exercises that would also contribute to our well-being, and I’m pleased to report that Charlotte has said that she will be happy to make a return visit.
