I love trying to pack a bit of variety into breakfasts as it’s often a meal that takes less time to prepare than, say, dinner, but one where you can easily add a bit more variety. It’s also a meal my son has always devoured, and so it’s been an easy win to get lots of energy and nutrients in with him, first thing.
My three easy baby breakfasts can all be prepped in minutes (although, the peach melba pancake takes a fair bit longer as needs the oven). All three options are delicious, nutritious and easy for both a baby or toddler (or adults, of course) to eat.
If you’re stuck in a rut with your little ones at breakfast time, serving the same thing each morning, give these simple ideas a go.
AD I’ve created these recipes using Arla Big Milk as part of a paid partnership with them.

Peach Melba Easy Pancake Sheet
Prep time: 10 mins
Cooking time: 25 mins
Makes: 9 servings
Ingredients
- 250g self-raising flour (plain or wholemeal)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 egg
- 200ml Arla Big Milk
- 2 tbsp plain yogurt, plus extra to serve
- 1 handful of raspberries

Method
- Preheat the oven to 200C/180 fan/gas mark 6 and line a baking tray with baking parchment.
- Sift the flour into a large mixing bowl and add the baking powder.
- Whisk the egg and milk together and make a well in the middle of the flour. Add the milk and egg to the well.
- Whisk the mixture together and then add the yogurt, most of the raspberries and all of the peach (reserve a few raspberries to put on top).
- Stir the mixture well, mashing up the raspberries slightly with the back of the spoon.
- Add the batter to the prepared baking tray (it will probably only take up half of the tray) and dot the top with the remaining raspberries.
- Bake in the oven for 25 minutes or until the pancake sheet is brown on top. Cut into slices and serve with an extra dollop of yoghurt.
