Registered Nutritionist E-Petition…

So a while ago I wrote a blog which highlighted the difference between a Registered Nutritionist Vs a Nutritional Therapist .

This post received a lot of attention from Nutritionists and Nutritional Therapists alike, which I was really grateful for. However, the main problem stems from the fact that the title “Nutritionist” is not a protected title, meaning that anyone can actually refer to themselves as a “Nutritionist” without it being against the law.

This is why it is really important for anyone seeking to work with a Nutritionist that they always look for a “Registered Nutritionist” who will be found on the Association for Nutrition‘s Register.

A new e-petition has however been set up to try and get the title of “Nutritionist” protected, meaning that only those who have qualified in Nutrition at University and registered on with the AfN will be able to use this title.

This will save the public a lot of confusion and also help to make sure that advice given out under our profession is regulated and, importantly, scientifically correct.

Please help us to achieve this by signing the e-petition here:

Many thanks to all our supporters in advance.
