Winter Warming Comfort Foods

Healthy Dinner ideas

Forget what you currently think about comfort foods! Winter warming comfort foods don’t have to involve high calories and zero nutrients. There are PLENTY of delicious, warming, healthy foods that will give you energy, a dose of nutrients and a buzz to keep you happy during cold winter months. Throughout January – with the return to work and the post-Christmas blues – there is no better time to start focusing on tasty, warming comfort foods.

Last year I wrote an article for Harper’s Bazaar all about Winter Warming Comfort Foods and I thought this year was an ideal time to share it again.

With the world now posting about their healthy foods online, there are plenty of ways to get your inspiration for delicious, healthy meals. My instagram focuses on maternal and toddler nutrition, but I share plenty of nutritious dinner options for both adults and children too. In fact, this year I’m starting a whole new feature – Mummy & Me Meals – so be sure to check these out.

Head over to my instagram if you’d like some ideas from my page and check out some of my favourite sample ideas below too.

There are a couple of great recipes on my blog already, including my Enchilada WrapsMinestrone Soup and Scones my Low Sugar Banana Bread and my Mushroom and Chickpea Stroganoff recipe too.

I also have a blog which I’m really proud of which has a HUGE list of Healthy Dinner Ideas to keep you going after Christmas and into 2019.

These include delicious meal ideas such as pitta pizzas, falafel wraps and lots of tips to make them even better. Let me know if you check them out and if you find them useful too.
